Arena A
William “ Bill” Springer
Bill and his wife Janet operate Springer Quarter Horses in Griffin, GA. Combined, they have seven children, four grandchildren and another on the way.
Bill was raised in north Florida and has been involved in the horse and cattle business all of his life. He has trained, shown and bred Quarter Horses since 1970.
He presently is honored to hold judging cards with ARHA, AQHA, PHBA and NSBA. In the past, he has judged the AQHA World Show, The Quarter Horse Congress, the PHBA World Show and at most of the major Quarter Horse Circuits. He has judged shows all over the United States and world including England, Italy, Japan, Canada, Venezuela, and Australia.
Rob Edsall
Rob Edsall was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and is a graduate of South Johnson High Scholl in Benson, North Carolina. In 1988 Rob moved to Martin South Carolina to work for Creek Plantation as a colt breaker. Within a few years Rob worked his way up to Ranch Foreman and Breeding Manager and later became the Head Trainer with assistance from Phillip Rapp and David Stewart. In 2008 he opened his own training facility.
Some of Rob’s achievements include: 3rd in the World in Jr. Division AQHA Ranch Horse Versatility, qualified horses for the World Show in cutting and working cowhorse. In 2009 Rob was the ARHA Versatility World Champion as catch rider for Billy Prather.
Rob and his wife of 21 years, Cammie, and their sons, Dakota and Martin, reside in Barnwell, South Carolina. His hobbies include golfing with his family, baseball, roping, working with youth, and judging.

Billy Springer
Billy Springer is a 1992 graduate of the University Of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He is the son of veteran horseman and AQHA and ARHA judge Bill Springer.
Billy started competing over 30 years ago as a youth in AQHA and now competes in the AQHA Open Division and also enjoys competing in Open Team Roping and Rodeo events. Billy lives in Hampton, Georgia with his wife Heather who also competes in Amateur Division n ARHA, AQHA, and PHBA events.
Ernie Dowell
Ernie Dowell has been involved with horses his entire life. He started showing at age six, first with ponies and Saddlebred horses. He credits his early interest to his Grandfather’s influence.
In 1970 he bought his first American Quarter Horse and has been training and showing stock type horses ever since. He twice served as President of the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association and was elected Director Emeritus in 2003.
Having judged over 20 years and with his interest in all around horses, Ernie was honored to be one of the first American Ranch Horse judges. He is equally proud to have served in the ARHA judges Committee for four years.
