



How to start an Affiliate Charter of ARHA
Are you interested fun
family-oriented events?
Do you enjoy well broke,
reliable working horses?
Would you like to share your
love for that true equine
athlete with others?
If so…then YOU should consider
starting a ARHA regional charter
in your area. ARHA Charters are
local associations across the
nation, that20are officially
recognized as representatives of
the American Ranch Horse
Association. These independent
organizations are formed for the
common purpose of providing a
local, convenient place to show,
learn, and enjoy Ranch Horses.
Any group meeting the
requirements and having interest
in the American Ranch Horse
Association may register with
ARHA by completing the Charter
Application.
ARHA promotes the true western
heritage of ranch horses through
events, shows and clinics while
maintaining a national points
record and awards program of
national achievements, through
an established set of standards
and regulations.

approved events.

REGIONAL CHARTER REQUIREMENTS
Charters shall be formed and
maintain for the purpose of
promoting Ranch Type Horses
through the ideals of
American Ranch Horse
Association including good
horsemanship and
sportsmanship.
In order to obtain the
designation of ARHA Charter,
each club must:

Charters must have and maintain a minimum of ten (10) memberships (family, ranch or individual) in good standing with ARHA.

Provide ARHA with a copy of By-Laws.

Hold annual election of officers. (See ARHA Rulebook)

Provide a complete a current list of members, including addresses.

Provide ARHA with show results from all approved shows or events as required.

Conduct all affairs in compliance with Charter by-laws.
Once a Regional Charter is
granted a charter, it is
automatically renewed yearly
provided that the club
continues to meet specific
requirements and
demonstrates the required
minimal level of activity.
Specific requirements and
activity levels shall
include but are not limited
to the following:

Provide ARHA with a copy of the Charter By-Laws

Hold annual election of officers including Charter Representative.

All officers and board members must be current ARHA members in good standing.

Provide ARHA with complete and current members by 4/1 of each year. Submit charter renewal by 2/1 of the current year.

Provide ARHA with correct and accurate show results from all approved shows as required.
-
Conduct all charter affairs in compliance with Charter By-Laws and ARHA Rule Book.
-
Sponsor a minimum of two (2) ARHA approved events each year.
Failure to meet specific requirements and minimal activity levels necessary for maintaining a regional charter may result in the revocation of charter by Executive Committee
