PRESIDENTS
MESSAGE
Dear Members
In case you missed it or you have not heard, we had a
great time at the convention. The weekend was full of
fun and speakers who shared a lot of beneficial and
useful information. For those that were there, we
sincerely appreciate your participation and for those
that were not able to attend we hope you will make plans
to attend the 2010 convention.
Along with all the convention activities we had a
wonderful silent and live auction that benefited the
Youth Scholarship Fund. We had more than 50 items in the
silent auction and 7 theme baskets, all of which raised
over $ 4,000. The first scholarship interviews were also
conducted and went very well. The 1st scholarships will
be awarded at the World Show. Also, don’t forget to
purchase your tickets for the filly Dr. Kinslow has so
graciously donated again this year. Contact the ARHA
office for tickets and please don’t forget this is all
about our youth and making their future brighter.
The 2009 World Show is shaping up and all the
information should be on the website at this time. The
World Show promises to be competitive, exciting and lots
of fellowship with friends. We have a class that will
interest our Senior rider this year. A Senior Select
Ranch Riding Class will be offered for our exhibitors 55
and over.
Be sure to check the events calendar on the website.
Charter shows are in full swing, so plan your calendar
and remember to support you local charter. They can’t
put these shows on without you.
Last note20before we get back to riding. The rule book
committee is getting ready to start on the 2010 rule
books. If you have any rule proposal changes that you
would like to have considered please go to the web site
and download the form. You can find it at Forms/Misc/
Rule Proposal. Deadline is May 30th.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you out and
about this show season. Remember practice makes perfect.
Sincerely,
Randy Cope
