President's Message
(back to News Page)
December 4, 2009
Hello Everyone!
Our show year is coming to a close and it has been a
busy one. We hope
that everyone has had good year and have your goals set
for next year. The new show season will be here before
you know it, if you don’t believe me check out the
website, 2010 shows are already being posted. With that
in mind, be sure to renew your membership early. 2010 is
the year for new updated Rulebooks and you want to be
aware of the changes and additions so you can be on top
of your game for the new year.
The 2010/2011 Rulebooks are being printed and we would
like to thank everyone that has worked so hard on it.
The Rulebook Committee has spent hours debating all of
the Rule Change suggestions that were sent in. Thank you
for all your time and efforts and to everyone that took
the time to send in a Rule Change. It takes all of us to
make this the best place to come show our horses.
Speaking of the new year, preparation for the 2010
Convention is in full swing. The dates this year are
February 17-20, at the Crowne Plaza (Cambell House) in
Lexington, KY. We are offering a new seminar this year
that will interest a lot of you! The Scribe/Ring Stewart
Seminar will be on Wednesday, February 17th, from 1pm to
5 pm. This seminar will help everyone better understand
what the judges are looking for, how a class is scored,
as well as understanding how to read a score sheet . For
complete information about the 2010 Convention or to
download advance registration applications please visit
the ARHA website. We invite everyone to join us on
Friday night for the Presidents Reception. This is a
great place to catch up with old friends and meet new
ones. We have a lot of great information to share,
informative guest speakers as well as lots of fun
planned for the convention . We hope that you will come
join us!
Youth, don’t forget the deadline for Scholarship
applications is December 31, 2009. Again this year we
will have the live and silent auctions to benefit the
Youth Scholarship Fund. We are asking charters to
participate in the Charter Basket Challenge again this
year by donating a theme basket. Any one that would like
to donate items to the silent auction would be greatly
appreciated. Remember this is an investment in the
future.
All of us at ARHA would like to wish you and your family
a very Merry Christmas and New Year that is safe and
full of blessings.
Looking forward to seeing each of you at the convention.
