REQUIREMENTS
&
RULES:
1) $100
Stallion
Nomination
Fee
due
with
nomination
form.
2) All
Stallion
owners
and
exhibitors
must
be
current
members
of
the
American
Ranch
Horse
Association.
3) All
nominated
stallions
and
the "get"
of
nominated
stallions
must
be
registered
with
American
Ranch
Horse
Association to
compete
in
the
ARHA
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge
prior
to
the
event.
4)
All
fees
are
non-refundable.
Nomination
fee
is
not
transferable.
ELIGIBILITY:
1) Nominations
open January
1,
2007
and
close
December
31,
2007.
2)
Nominations
paid
after 1/1/2008
until
30
days
prior
to
the
show
will
pay
$200
nomination
fee.
3) Horses
must
be
three
years
old
at
the
time
of
the
competition,
and
must
be
out
of ARHA
enrolled
Stallion
Stakes
Program
stallion
to
be
eligible
to
compete
in
the
2008
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge.
4) Stallions
must
be
enrolled
the
year
prior
to
have
offspring
eligible
for
Three
Year
Old
Challenge
(ie:
2007
nominated
stallion's
two
year
old
offspring
will
be
qualify
to
compete
as
three
year
olds
in
2008).
Nominations
are
to
be
made
on a
year
to
year
basis,
no
monies
or
nomination
fees
shall
be
carried
over
from
year
to
year.
5)
Any
owner
of
offspring
may
nominate
their
foals
sire.
SHOW:
The
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge
will
be
held
in
conjunction
with
the
2008
ARHA
World
Show.
The
Challenge
will
consist
of a
conformation
class
(to
be
held
at
the
end
of
the
Ranch
Riding
Class.
Saddles
will
be
removed
and
horses
will
be
shown
in
bridle)
and
three
performace
classes:
Ranch
Riding,
Ranch
Cutting
&
Working
Ranch
Horse.
The
scores
from
these
classes
will
be combined
to
determine
the
overall
placings.
Horses
competing
may
be
ridden
by
any
combination
of
riders.
No
ARHA
points
will
be
awarded.
PAYOUTS:
Payout
of
the
Stallions
Stakes
Program
monies
will
be
based
on a
percentage
basis.
It
will
depend
on
the
number
of
stallions
enrolled
in
the
program.
The
nomination
fee
collected
will
be
put
into
a
separate
account
where
it
will
be
paid
out
as
follows:
1)
20%
will
be
used
for
advertisement,
promotion
and
administrative
costs.
2)
80%
will
be
paid
back
to
the
Stallion
Owners
based
on
the
overall
placings
of
the
offspring
in
the
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge.
Payout
on
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge
will
be
based
on
the
percentage
on
the
number
of horses
entered.
Added
money,
if
any,
will
be
added
to
the
"overall
average"
payback.
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge
entry
fee:
$200.00
(includes
all four
classes classes),
and
a
$40
cattle
charge.
1)
20%
will
be
used
for
advertisement,
promotion
and
administrative
cost.
2)
50%
of
total
purse
will
be
paid
back
to
contestants
based
on
the
average
of
the
overall
placings
in
all
events.

to
three

place

purse

paid
back
on
each
class
"go".

PROMOTIONS:
1) Ad
will
be
placed
in
national
equine
publications
as
well
as
in
ad

stallion

the
ARHA

Results
and
pictures
of
the
Three
Year
Old
Ranch
Horse
Challenge
will
be
posted
in
magazine(s)
and
on
ARHA
website.
2) Nominated
Stallion
list
will
be
posted
in
ARHA
website
under
ARHA
Stallion
Stakes
Program,
to
include
a
picture
and
a
brief
write-up
about
stallions
and
offspring,
as
well
as
contact
information
and
link
to
owners
website.
