Youth Age
Requirements
1. Youth Activities
classes and events are
open to persons 18 years
of age and younger.
2. The age of the youth
on January 1st shall be
maintained throughout
the year.
3. Married
and/or divorced
contestants, regardless
of age, are not eligible
to participate in the
youth program.
4. ALL stallions,
regardless of age, are
prohibited in ALL ARHA
youth events.
Youth Divisions
Youth classes may be
divided by age of youth
on the following basis:

It is recommended
that, where there
are large classes,
the classes be
divided into age
groups to provide
more equal
competition.
Age
division listed
below does not
apply to
conformation
classes.
1. If
there is to be one
(1) class,
undivided, the age
group is to be 18 &
under.
2. If
there is to be two
(2) classes offered,
the age division
must be:
13 &
Under and 14-18
b. Age
groups may be
combined when there
are insufficient
entries for points
in one of the age
groups.
Youth Memberships
Offered: Youth
Membership: Qualifying
individuals 18 years of
age, or under, on
January 1 of Membership
Year. Includes
membership and youth
card to compete in ARHA
youth classes.
Youth
Card: Qualifying
individuals 18 years of
age, or under, on
January 1 of Membership
Year. Youth has a
current Family
Membership and needs
youth card to compete in
ARHA youth classes.
Youth Rookie of
the Year
The
Rookie Of The Year Award
is for those youth
exhibitors who have
never earned ANY breed
association points at
any time prior to the
year of the award. All
you have to do is check
the box for Rookie
of the Year on your
youth application when
you submit it.
